The Camden School Tek Team wins 2nd Place at the Computer Fair!

Joy Shows Her Trophy at the Newark Computer FairEach year, the Newark Public School District’s Office of Instructional Technology hosts a Computer Fair to showcase outstanding student projects.

In this video, Joy describes Spanky’s Tale, a project created by the Camden School “Tek Team” to encourage hand washing and the prevention of H1N1.

Joy’s team wins 2nd place and she is so excited! Her mom, Tracy Stapleton, and her teacher, Terri Baird, share in the pride and the achievements of this second grade team project.

“I just wish more people could see what our Newark children can do, because it’s like a best kept secret,” says Ms. Baird.

The Computer Fair took place at Rutgers University in Newark in December 2009.
