What is a Twestival?

Twestival (or Twitter Festival) is an annual, global event that uses social media for social good.

On one day in March, over 200 international cities hold a local event that brings together social media enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, activists, and friends – all gathering to raise awareness to a social cause and raise funds for charity.

Lindsey Holmes, CEO of LCH Business, organized Newark’s second annual Twestival in March, 2010. The evening brought together some of Newark’s most dynamic young entrepreneurs and social media leaders both to raise funds for Concern Worldwide and to discuss the impact of social media on their businesses and communities.
